Patricia Ainger

 Joris, grandson of Wiesse, is following his grandfather into the kahtmaster craft and looking forward to a quiet, predictable life working at The Centre. However, whilst taking his final exams, Joris discovers that he is one of the very rare timekahtmasters – he can take the kahts through time as well as space. Tasked with the challenge of trying to find the daughter of the last timekahtmaster who was kidnapped during the Strife, he finds himself going back in time to Tudor times on Earth. Here his personal courage is sorely tested as he scours Tudor London for the missing woman.
