Lintze Terwin has retrieved three of the four Elements responsible for ensuring the ecological stability of Errd, the parallel world so like and so different from Earth. But while retrieving the third Element she narrowly escaped capture by the Antis. So the High Guild has deemed it sensible to create the impression that all four Elements have been returned, at least for the time being.

For now Lintze is free to enjoy her new life with Berndt Hambrow. But for how long and what will be the outcome of her journey to collect the last of these precious stones...
